So i must confess that i am no where near where i thought i would be during my writing campaign.  I had hopes that i would be able to get that book well on its way by now.  I had actually figured that by this point i would be into the proof section giving sections of the book to my few alpha readers.  Sadly, i haven't even begun.  That was partially due to a little thing called having a kid.  I never realized how much time that would take up.  Yea, pretty dense sometimes is me. So about a week ago i finally finished the Hunger Games trilogy thanks to a co-worker who lent me the books.  As a bit of background, i have a list of books that i intend to read to help develop my language skills and to give me a bit of exposure to various writing styles.  Before i started this list, i was mainly just re-reading my Clancy novels or some of the other various soft Sci Fi i had.  For the most part, i wasn't really going anywhere with these books and i could tell from some of my fiction pieces that i was getting a bit too much John Clark main characters.
